Ask your taxi driver to take you to Puerto  Colon, he will probably drop you at the traffic island, at the bottom of the hill past the Jardin Tropical Hotel ( on your left as you come down the hill).

Look for a set of steps (there are two)  the easiest are those just behind you that take you straight down to the Puerto Colon area.
